With the Payment Plan functionality, users can now configure specific Dues Products to be split between payments or included in the first payment. A common scenario could be a standard Dues Product that is set to split between payments while a PAC Contribution is included in the first payment. Membership application fee product will always be included in the first payment. This is not configurable. However, dues products (if the option is tied to a membership application or it is a stand alone option for renewal) can be configured to be charged in either the first payment, or split among all of the payments.
Follow the steps in this article to set up the wanted plan timing for your Dues Products:

- First Payment - Full amount of the Dues Product will be included in the first payment
- Split - The amount of the Dues Product will be split evenly with the related Payment Plan
- Not Eligible - This option will have the same logic as Split
