Throughout this user manual there are articles specific to different versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the product. To ensure you are referencing the most accurate material, you will need to determine what versions are being used in your system.
How do I determine which version of Dynamics my system is using?
From the app selection screen or after having navigated to an app in Dynamics 365, select the gear icon to access various information about the system. Select the "About" option to display more information about the Dynamics version running on your system
Depending on whether you select the "About" option from the app selection screen or from within an individual app, the information presented will be slightly different. If you are looking at your apps as a whole, you'll get information about the organization. If you are looking at a specific app, the app name will also display. The "Server version" information will tell you the current version of Dynamics 365 utilized by the system.
How do I determine which version of a solution my system is using?
From the app selection screen or from within a specific app, select the gear icon and then choose "Advanced Settings". This will open up another tab.
On this new tab, select the down arrow next to the Settings header in the navigation bar. From the available options, under the Customizations area select "Solutions".
A list of installed solutions should now display. From the list, locate the solution you wish to investigate and then find the value for that solution in the Version column. This is the currently-installed version of that solution in your environment.
