Organizations can use qualifier forms to automatically route candidates to appropriate application forms and fees based on candidate responses.
Prerequisites
The features and functionality described in this article are only available in Cobalt Certification version 4.1 or higher.
Your system must have an active, fully configured Certification Type with at least one Initial or Continuing Certification Application Type with corresponding Fees. Contacts with an active, eligible Certification Qualification will be routed past the Qualifier Form and proceed directly to the Application Type and Fee associated with their Qualification.
Setting Up a Qualifier Form
- Navigate to a Certification Type record for which you would like to configure a Qualifier Form. Qualifier Forms are set as a lookup on Certification Type records.
- Open the Qualifier Form lookup field, then either select a pre-existing Qualifier Form or press +New to create a new Qualifier Form for the Certification Type.
- Qualifier Forms are designed to capture information about candidates that will be used to route them to a specific Certification Application Type and Fee. Add one or more mapped questions to the Qualifier Form that correspond to the Certification Fees associated with a Certification Application Type.
In the example above, the Qualifier Form asks candidates about their country/region of residence. This information will be used to route candidates to one of two Certification Fees. One Certification Fee queries on candidates based in Canada, and one Certification fee queries on candidates based in the United States.
Qualifier Forms for Candidates
As mentioned in the prerequisites, candidates with active Certification Qualifications will be routed past the Qualifier Form directly to the Application Type and Fee associated with their Qualification.
Otherwise, candidates will be routed to the Qualifier Form when applying for a Certification Type from the Portal Homepage.
Here is an example of what the applicant would view:
Some candidates do not fall into any of the Application Types based on Fee Queries (e.g., in the example above, the candidate is based in Mexico, not the United States or Canada). In this instance, the candidate in question will be routed to a page informing them that they are ineligible to proceed with the Certification Application. A Qualification with the Status Reason ‘Ineligible’ will be created for them in Dynamics.

Qualifier Forms for Staff in CRM:
The staff can view an applicant's submitted qualifier form on the back-end in CRM by navigating to related Certification Qualifications of the contact record.
