As of Cobalt 3.11, we introduced a committee home page on the Portal where users can view information about committees, view the roster (if applicable), and apply to join.
Set Up
Staff are able to configure committees in the CRM to control the amount of information displayed on this page, as well as determine if the committee is open to applications or not.
Committee (New fields that control the amount of information displayed on the portal):
Show Roster - Yes/No field that allows staff to control if this committee should be displayed on the portal
Open - Yes/No field that allows staff to control if this committee should be joinable on the portal
Form - Lookup to a form that can be filled out when going through the application for a committee membership.
Duration Type - How long should the committee membership last
Process
- Portal user goes to the Committee tab on the portal and can see any published committees.
- If a committee is opened a Join Committee button appears and can apply
3. After clicking the Join Committee button the contact will go through the form set on the Committee record
4. After the portal user submits their application on the portal a Pending Nomination record will be created
5. Staff will then open the Pending Committee Nomination record and can run the Approve Nomination workflow or deactivate the Committee Nomination record
6. If approve, a Committee Membership record will be generated and the Committee Nomination record will be deactivated as Accepted
