Name Change Request

As of Cobalt 3.11+, we added a Name Change Request process that  users can go through on the Portal to formally request their name (first, middle, and/or last names) be updated, with staff approval prior to changes taking effect.

Process

  1. Portal user goes to the portal and clicks the Request a Name Change link on the Profile tile
  2. Portal user fills out the name change page and Submits

3. In Dynamics, a Pending Name Change record is created related to the contact

4. Staff has three options here, Deactivate the record as Approved, Denied, Canceled

Approved: Contact's name is updated

Denied: Contact's name is not updated

Canceled: Request is canceled and Contact's name is not updated

Setting Visibility (Show/Hide)

As of Cobalt 4.1+, displaying the name change is now controllable on the portal home page web element designer.

Process:

  1. From the portal URL home page, navigate to /WebElementDesigner.aspx
  2. Click the left arrow on Web Element Generator
  3. Click Configure Element
  4. Click 'Edit User Profile'
  5. Then select the option to display Name Change
