Account based Memberships can insert a Reported Sales number and can have a dynamic pricing when Initially applying and Renewing.
The Calculations are formed with the formula below:
(The Sales Multiplier * (Reported Sales - Lower Bound) / 1,000,000) + Tier Fee + Membership Application Fee
Member Sales Rules
Member Sales Rules are the records that direct where a certain membership lands on when the Reported Sales is set.
Fields:
Name: Name of Member Sales Rule (recommendation: include the Lower and Upper Bound)
Member Type: Lookup to the Member type the rule is for
Lower Bound: Lowest number for which a Reported Sales will classify for the Member Sales Rule
Upper Bound: Highest number for which a Reported Sales will classify for the Member Sales Rule
Tier Fee: General fee for this tier
Sales Multiplier: Whole number that is used when calculating the tier price
Suggested Donation Percentage: Percentage that calculates the suggested amount for donations
Updates to Existing Fields
Membership, Membership Application, Dues Item (New field):
Reported Sales: Reported sales entered when initially applying or renewing the membership
Member Type (New fields):
Calculated Dues: Yes or No field that determines if it should respect the Member Sales Rules or simply use the Membership application fee. This defaults to Yes
Renewal Form: Lookup to a form. This is used to ask a end user to enter their Reported Sales for the calculations
Reported Sales
Reported Sales is a number an end user will enter when initial applying for a membership and/if they are renewing. This number is mapped to a Initial application/Dues Item via a form. Once entered, the system will calculated based on that number.
Foundation Donation Suggested Amounts
If the Suggested Donation Percentage is set on the Member Sales Rule record AND a Donation Product(Type = Contributions) exists within the Dues Order (renewal) or Dues Option within a Membership application (Initial Application) the following calculation occurs.
Within the Member Sales Dues: Tier Fee * Suggested Donation Percentage
