Use Case
Expands the meeting registration functionality to allow staff to add more than one fee of a given registration type (guest, spouse, child).
Example: I would like to make an Early Bird, Regular, and onsite registration fee for guest, spouse, and child registrations.
How to set up guest fees
1. Navigate to the Events area and open the Meeting section
2. Create a new meeting or open an existing meeting
3. Scroll down and find the Meeting Registration fee subgrid
4. Click the ellipses on the top right of the subgrid and select the New Meeting registration option
5. On the blank Meeting Registration Fee fill in the following data:
- Set the "Name"
- Set the “Registration Type” to be Guest, Spouse, or Child
- Set the “Begin Date” to be a date in the past
- Set the “End Date” to be a date in the future
- Click on “Registration Fee” and select the Product you want to use for your guest registration fee.
- Set “Publish to Portal” to = Yes.
6. Save the record and click the "+New" button on the tool bar
7. 5. On the blank Meeting Registration Fee fill in the following data:
- Set the "Name"
- Set the “Registration Type” to be Guest, Spouse, or Child
- Set the “Registration Type” to be the same value as what you set for step 3.
- Set “Begin Date” to be a date in the future AFTER the date you set for the previous Meeting Registration fee (ie. If I set the date in previous Registration fee was set to be 8/1/2024, set the date now to be 8/2/2024 or after.This is to ensure that the begin date of this registration fee has not started yet, and this fee is not valid or selectable)
- Set “End Date” to occur AFTER the Start Date for this Meeting Registration fee
- Click on “Registration Fee” and select the Product you want to use for your guest registration fee.
- Set “Publish to Portal” to = Yes.
How to utilize queries for guest fees
Queries for Guest registration Fees function the same as attendee Meeting Registration Fee queries. This allows you to set up certain Guest registration fees for certain contacts.
Example: For the Spouse registration fees above. If we wanted to only allow members to have the ability to use those guest registration fees we can update the query and adjust to look for contacts that have the Member price list and/or have an existing Active Membership.
