Clone a Class

For recurring classes where information is mostly the same from event to event, we have created the Clone Class wizard to simplify the data entry process. Cloning allows you to create a copy of a class where you can edit the new record as needed, but can avoid entering in all the information each time. You can open this wizard from the class record.

1. From the Class Record that you want to clone, select the Clone button.

2. Click "OK" in the pop up window.

3. Return to the list of Active Classes, you may need to refresh the view. Confirm that a Copy is now in the list.

4. Open the Cloned Class Record. Update the Class Begin Date and End Date.

Note: The Begin and End Dates are not cloned. You should also change the Name of the Class to something unique.

6. Return to the Class record and make any additional updates to fields as needed, and save.

All fields are cloned except for:

  • Class Name is now “Copy of [original Class Name]”
  • Class Begin/End date is empty
  • Registrations and Waitlist Registrations show as 0
  • There is no related Meeting

You can alter any cloned fields to suit the new Class, and fill out any empty fields as needed.
